a part of the Evangelical Free Church of America network of churches.
Charter Oak is
handicap accessible—with ramps and parking. The main
entrance is located on the SW side of the sanctuary.

SUNDAYS — Worship/Education
Worship
The Sunday morning worship services begin at 9:30 am and 11:00 am.
Kids'
groups
Son Day Friends is for children three to five
years old, and is available from 9:20am—12:00 pm. Parents may take their
children directly to the St Helens building. A program especially for this
group, has two lessons each week (one from 9:30-10:30 and one from 11:00 -
noon).
Kids on the Way is for children six years to ten years old, and is
available midway through 9:30 am worship. Children are excused from worship and
escorted to the Rainier building by
supervising adults who will lead age-appropriate lessons and activities. Parents are welcome to walk with their children,
and may pick their children up
there after worship.
Kids' Breakaway Groups are for children from four years old to
sixth grade. These groups meet from 11:00 am to noon. They are designed to help
children learn about God and follow him. A map with group locations is on the
bulletin board at the west end of the main lobby.
Nursery
The nursery is available from 9:15 am — noon. Children, who are newborn
through two years, are cared for in Room 100. (This room has an adjoining room
which provides two separate areas for infants and toddlers.) Parents are welcome to visit the nursery. We practice a
safe child policy.
Refreshments
Coffee, lemonade and tea are available after worship in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone
is welcome to come grab a drink and enjoy some good conversation!
Education
Educational groups are available for all ages: Elementary at 11:00 am, Youth
at 9:30 am, and Adult at 9:30 am and 11:00 am. Currently, two groups are
available for adults:
Deeper
Connections
is a new class, which began July 20. Jesus
communicated deep spiritual truths through simple, vivid, and engaging stories.
Woven from the stuff of everyday life, the parables of Jesus made the kingdom of
God understandable and accessible to his listeners. In six engaging, interactive
small group sessions, the Deeper Connections DVD will give you new insights into
his parables and their meanings that will help you appreciate more fully their
relevance for your own life.
Kirk Woolpert facilitates at 9:30 am and
Bryan Hull facilitates at 11:00 am in the Conference Room.
Digging
into God’s Word
is an ongoing, verse by verse study of the Bible—currently in the book of 1
Kings. Tom Kreller and Bob Verme team up to lead this class in Rm 106 at 11:00
am.

WEDNESDAYS & FRIDAYS — Charter
Oak Cooperative Preschool
Charter Oak's
new cooperative preschool opened September 5, 2007! Spaces are still available
for the 2008-2009 school year; you may register now. For more information, click here or

TUESDAYS — AWANA
AWANA club has concluded its year. Next fall, a new midweek
program especially for young children wiill be introduced. Watch for coming
details as we get closer to the date.
WEDNESDAYS
—Youth Groups
Our
senior high and junior high school youth groups meet on Wednesdays, from 7:00 - 8:30
pm. A live band, games, video clips and life lessons are the essence of each
meeting. During the summer months, camps and outdoor activities provide
additional opportunities for fun and spiritual growth.
During
certain times of the year, service projects are planned by or for the youth.
Several times, they have traveled to Mexico during Spring Break to
build homes for needy families. They have also traveled
to New Orleans to help with Katrina Relief efforts. This past spring, the youth
traveled to
Mexico.
