SUNDAYS — Worship/Education

Worship    The Sunday morning worship services begin at 9:30 am and 11:00 am.

Kids' groups

Son Day Friends is for children three to five years old, and is available from 9:20am—12:00 pm. Parents may take their children directly to the St Helens building.  A program especially for this group, has two lessons each week (one from 9:30-10:30 and one from 11:00 - noon).

Kids on the Way is for children six years to ten years old, and is available midway through 9:30 am worship. Children are excused from worship and escorted to the Rainier building by supervising adults who will lead age-appropriate lessons and activities. Parents are welcome to walk with their children, and may pick their children up there after worship.

Kids' Breakaway Groups are for children from four years old to sixth grade. These groups meet from 11:00 am to noon. They are designed to help children learn about God and follow him. A map with group locations is on the bulletin board at the west end of the main lobby.

Nursery    The nursery is available from 9:15 am — noon. Children, who are newborn through two years, are cared for in Room 100. (This room has an adjoining room which provides two separate areas for infants and toddlers.) Parents are welcome to visit the nursery. We practice a safe child policy.

Refreshments    Coffee, lemonade and tea are available after worship in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is welcome to come grab a drink and enjoy some good conversation!

Education    Educational groups are available for all ages: Elementary at 11:00 am, Youth at 9:30 am, and Adult at 9:30 am and 11:00 am. Currently, two groups are available for adults:

Deeper Connections is a new class, which began July 20.  Jesus communicated deep spiritual truths through simple, vivid, and engaging stories. Woven from the stuff of everyday life, the parables of Jesus made the kingdom of God understandable and accessible to his listeners. In six engaging, interactive small group sessions, the Deeper Connections DVD will give you new insights into his parables and their meanings that will help you appreciate more fully their relevance for your own life. Kirk Woolpert facilitates at 9:30 am and Bryan Hull facilitates at 11:00 am in the Conference Room.

Digging into God’s Word is an ongoing, verse by verse study of the Bible—currently in the book of 1 Kings. Tom Kreller and Bob Verme team up to lead this class in Rm 106 at 11:00 am.

WEDNESDAYS —Youth Groups

During certain times of the year, service projects are planned by or for the youth. Several times, they have traveled to Mexico during Spring Break to build homes for needy families. They have also traveled to New Orleans to help with Katrina Relief efforts. This past spring, the youth traveled to Mexico.
