CHARTER OAK COMMUNITY CHURCH
DANNY TEDDER grew up in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Although he had attended church, it wasn't until his senior year in high school, on a Young Life ski trip, that he made a decision to become a follower of Christ. While planning on becoming a full-time Young Life leader, he was encouraged to go to seminary. It was at seminary that he decided to work through the ministries of the local church to reach out to kids the way he had been reached through Young Life.
Danny earned his Bachelor of Arts in History at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock, and he earned his Master of Divinity at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois. While earning his Masters, Danny met and married his wife, Cindy, who was also attending Trinity.
Danny and Cindy have four children: Luke, Amy, Andrew and Mark. Luke is a part-time staff member at Charter Oak; Amy is a student at Trinity Western University; and Andrew and Mark attend Battle Ground High School.
Danny enjoys music (singing and playing guitar), camping, hiking, watching football and basketball (especially the Arkansas Razorback--Go, Hogs!), reading, gardening and walking his Australian Shepherd, Pepper.
