CHARTER OAK COMMUNITY CHURCH
Bryan Hull was raised in a non-Christian home in southern California, and his family was split by divorce when he was 12 years old. After Bryan graduated from high school, his mom became a Christian and started to share with Bryan why it was important to accept God's forgiveness of sin through Jesus--but Bryan was very resistant. When Bryan was 19, he attended church for the first time. (A friend invited him.) It was at this time that Bryan came to believe God was real and gave his life to Christ.
Soon after Bryan moved to Oregon, he started to attend church regularly and to work with a local youth group. While working with the youth, he decided to attend Multnomah Bible College and Seminary in Portland, Oregon. There, he earned a Biblical studies degree. He then went to Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois and earned his Master of Divinity. Bryan's education and subsequent ministerial abilities have been enriched by eleven years of experience as a business manager in Washington and Oregon.
While attending Multnomah, Bryan met his wife, Pamela, who was also a student there. Bryan and Pamela have three children: Michael, Elizabeth and Matthew. Michael attends Battle Ground High School, and Elizabeth and Matthew attend CAM. The Hulls share their home with a German Shephard, Sasha, too.
Bryan's favorite pastime is golf. Watching and playing year-round, Bryan has enjoyed many rounds of golf--9,18,27, and 36 holes at a time! He enjoys Frisbee golf as well and plays frequently on Charter Oak's course with Pastor Danny. In addition to golf, Bryan is a big fan of American Idol, which he has watched since its inception. For reading pleasure, Bryan is drawn to fantasy or science fiction with theological truths, such as Lord of the Rings; he also enjoys non-fiction works.
